There are lots of things that I'm thankful for at Thanksgiving. My family, friends, good health. I can't wait for tomorrow, to be with family, and for the turkey and the pumpkin pie!
When it comes to writing and giving thanks, I think of. my critique groups, my friends in SCBWI, my editors, and the people in writing and publishing who have answered my endless questions with a smile.
I also think of the many people who have welcomed me as a guest author at libraries and schools and in other places. Wonderful people who work behind the scenes to make books and writing come alive for children. Some who hope to be published themselves some day. I'm truly thankful for you.
November brings my picture book, TURKEY SURPRISE, front and center again. It's so much fun to share my book with young readers. I also love to hear when my book of poems for toddlers, FROM DAWN TO DREAMS, is a child's favorite book, as someone told me in Zionsville a few weeks ago.
