Earlier this month our critique group got together for an all-day meeting when one member opened her home to us for the day. It was great! No rush to get home on time. More time to share tips and advice, news and up-coming events, new writing ventures, and finally, critiques.
A big part of writing and publishing for children is 'connecting.' Getting together with my critique groups, and other writers, always motivates me to go home and write and send things out. We learn from each other, and we learn together. And the friendships we've made over the years are priceless.
PS--if you're at the Michigan State Fair on September 3rd, stop in and hear Sarah Marie Archer sing at the Colgate Country Showdown!
